Monstercat veterans and multi-faceted producers Stonebank and Pegboard Nerds returned to the label today accompanied by singer-songwriter EMEL for their collaborative single, “Falling Apart.”
With its video game-inspired synth leads and uplifting chords forming an infectious melody, “Falling Apart” has all the makings of a happy hardcore anthem. Having previously released fan-favourite happy-hardcore tracks as well as mutual remixes, Stonebank and Pegboard Nerds come together again, better than ever.
Stonebank shares, “Since joining Monstercat 7 years ago, I’ve always admired what the Nerds have been putting out on the label, and to finally work on something together with the awesome vocals of EMEL, I think we captured something special. The track oozes energy!”
Pegboard Nerds add, “We have been playing almost every release from Stonebank over the years and it’s a mystery that we haven’t done this collab sooner. With all the lockdowns we had no excuse and after some back n forth and the beautiful voice of EMEL “Falling Apart” came together nicely. We are looking very much forward to playing this at shows in the future.”
EMEL also comments, “Really proud of this collaboration, its been great to work with Pegboard Nerds for the first time and I love the energy this track offers! Hope everyone else does too.”
