American born British singer Celeste’s recent release “Stop This Flame” got a switch up from Kentucky’s very own DJ/Producer/Activist – The Black Madonna and its sounding just right.
The record starts out with a simple and light kick drum which is supplemented by a generous serving of percussions by its side. The track progresses towards classic stabs and Celeste’s enticing vocals rolling on and on over a soft bassline. The record also features great pads and atmosphere that truly complement Celeste’s highly dynamic vocals that bless the track from time to time.
With a solid classic instrument section supported by heavy percussion work, the track makes for an “anytime playable” record and can make the people groove to it whenever it hits the dance floor or the car stereo.
The very soul of this record resonates with The Black Madonna’s style of keeping people moving and grooving. Give it a listen here.
“This was one of the last things I worked on before the world became a very different place. It’s out today and for me carries happy memories of listening to Celeste’s beautiful voice in my headphones in a makeshift studio on my honeymoon. I hope some of the joy of that time lives on. It was an honor work with Celeste and it’s my honor to be able to share it now.” -The Black Madonna
