1605 desiderati 4 series

Out now is the new release on the 1605 record label run by UMEK and it’s the latest in their ‘Desiderati 4’ series, which compiles four tracks from different artists.

Previous releases in the series have featured tracks by artists ranging from UMEK to Teenage Mutants and Space 92.

‘Desiderati 4’ has often been a platform to present new artists to the 1605 fanbase, as it’s the first time the label featured the likes of Mha iri and Sam Wolfe who are now both regular features on the imprint.

This time, the Desiderati 4.9 compilation includes the return of artists who have featured on previous compilations including Heerhorst, AKKI (DE), Dok & Martin and Luca Gaeta.

All of those artists are established names who are leading the next generation of techno producers and each of them have also featured on other influential record labels such as Respekt, Codex, Legend, Octopus, We Are The Brave and Filth On Acid.

Each track has explosive percussion and a chunky kick drum plus an epic breakdown section. 1605 shares a similar sound to its owner UMEK and all of these tracks would fit perfectly into one of his DJ sets. We are told the release has also picked up DJ support by people ranging from Ramiro Lopez to Space 92.

Heerhorst’s “Deliver” starts proceedings with its compelling vocals and tantalising synth lines, thenAKKI (DE)’s “Balthazar” hits hard with its massive synth line. Dok & Martin’s “Want Your Love” has an old school flavour and Luca Gaeta’s “Moonslide” brings things to a close with some hypnotising euphoria.

It’s another very impressive release from 1605, and you can buy a copy HERE
