Ahead of the release of their debut album, ZIBRA are back with new single ‘Girls Like You’, the perfect summer anthem to lure you on to the nearest dance floor.
Following on from previous single ‘Wasted Days’, ‘Girls Like You’ is a thrill chasing rollercoaster filled with a dirty bassline, kamikaze synths and fist pumping rhythms, which continue to show what is evidently becoming ZIBRA’s signature sound.
Tracks Chlorine, Paris, ‘Great White Shark’ and most recently ‘Wasted Days’ have gained strong support from Radio 1. ‘Paris’ was added to R1 ‘In New Music We Trust’ playlist and culminated with the band headlining the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury.
Says frontman Sam Battle. “Girls Like You is about all of us really, no one really being ourselves. Which is fine you know, but we wrote a song about it. We got the guitar pedals out for this one, so it’s a bit more grotty on the guitar side of things sound wise than out previous tracks…”
ZIBRA have been rapidly building a loyal live fan base following support slots across the UK with Years and Years, Saint Raymond, Coasts and Rat Boy. Lead vocalist/guitarist, Sam Battle, is steadily building a reputation as one of Britains most exciting Frontmen.
