DJ Hero A-Trak and UK production duo Illyus & Barrientos debut collaborative single “Together At Last” out today via Fool’s Gold Records.
Powered by a driving bass line, “Together At Last” is a juiced up house anthem with classic diva vocals that will send you straight to the dance floor. A-Trak is no stranger to collaborating with friends so it’s only natural he’s teamed up with Illyus & Barrientos who previously remixed his 2018 single “DJs Gotta Dance More” with Todd Terry.
Speaking on how the collaboration came about, A-Trak shares, “Whenever I notice that I’m playing a lot of tracks by someone in my sets, I end up wanting to collaborate with them. That’s what happened with Illyus & Barrientos. During lockdown we started trading demos back and forth, looking for something new to make together. The song that ended up being ‘Together At Last’ was stripped bare and reinvented a few times. I love that we ended up keeping the essence of the idea, just a catchy bass line and a heartfelt vocal primed for the dance floor.”
Earlier this month A-Trak — as one-half of the duo Duck Sauce —released Put The Sauce On It (listen here). After a triumphant return to Coachella last month, the festival-favorite act will be mesmerizing crowds all summer long including an upcoming play at EDC where Trizzy will also spin a solo set and go b2b with one of his oldest turntablist pal’s Craze.
