Emerging pop starlet Abi Hudson has just released her second single from EP, a luscious piano-led ballad that blends acoustic roots with intelligent, catchy pop called ‘Warm In The Room.’
Listen to it here:
About the new single, Abi says “‘Warm in the Room’ is a really special song for me, I love its simplicity. In short the song is about loss. I want people to take their own meaning from it, but if you’ve ever experienced loss, be that losing a loved one, breaking up with someone or whatever it may be, I think and hope this track will make a lot of sense to you.”
Managed by the same team behind Girls Aloud, Bananarama and Cheryl Cole, Abi saw widespread acclaim with debut single ‘Fragile Around You’, with praise coming from The Line Of Best Fit to 1883 Magazine, United By Pop and through to the pop Hype Machine blogosphere.
Although just 18-years-old Abi has been performing for years – already counting acclaimed performances at popular tastemaker nights such as Ella Guru (Pixie Lott’s curated showcase) and cult London venues the Sebright Arms, The Underbelly and Barfly. She’s been writing with Terry Ronald (Kylie Minogue, Girls Aloud) and Steve Anderson (Britney Spears, Take That, Kylie Minogue), who co-wrote and produced ‘Warm In The Room’.
