ADE Lab will open its doors for the first time next Wednesday, when a record number of young talent, producers, and music industry professionals will find the space to express themselves.
A new era this year as ADE Lab sets up shop in ADE Lab Village at Westergas, repurposing almost ten venues as an integrated creative complex intended to incubate the talent of tomorrow.
Part of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the global premier festival and conference for electronic music, ADE Lab is all about education, inspiration, and professional development. Each October, it gathers upcoming artists, producers, and industry professionals for four days of talks, workshops, and creative sessions designed to enable them to acquire skills and accelerate their careers.
For the first time ever, the complete ADE Lab program will be located in Westergas, a purpose-built neighborhood where the music industry’s future is designed. The idea unites all aspects of the program under one roof: from panels and masterclasses to studio sessions, gear labs, and networking areas.
The core of ADE Lab Village is WestWeelde, central to ideas and discussion, where the essential sessions, panels, and casual gatherings in the Lab Living space take place. Radio Radio is where hands-on workshops and vinyl listening happen, and Pacific Amsterdam is a studio-style space for small masterclasses, back by Gear Test Lab, and Gear Workshop Room.
A number of new partner areas add value to the Village experience. Bakkerswinkel will serve as a recording and production area, while Mossel & Gin and Amsterdam Flavours will be used for small-scale events and learning experiences to be announced over the coming weeks.
ADE Lab also reintroduces its Open Calls, providing young creatives with more opportunities to get involved. Initiatives encompass Incepted, a co-writers’ camp with Sony Music, the FACE 2 FACE DJ competition with Seedj and Face 2 Face, and Club Lab with DJ Mag, providing Lab Pass holders with an opportunity to perform, co-create, and release music professionally. The we.grow mentorship program by shesaid.so comes back to create an open environment for mentoring, networking, and connection among the global music community.
The 2025 ADE Lab program includes visionary artists and industry leaders guiding the future of electronic music, including KETTAMA, Indira Paganotto, SPFDJ, Ron Trent, and Octo Octa. Panels like Building Your Artist Brand with DJ AG and Chlär: KERNEL, which delves into the convergence of sound and visual art, deliver lessons on career growth and creative evolution.
With its move into the ADE Lab Village, the program reaffirms its function as a platform for artistic development and professional advancement. The new configuration fosters collaboration, experimentation, and discovery, cultivates a home base for up-and-coming talent within ADE to learn, network, and flourish.
The ADE Lab Pass gives entry to all four days’ worth of programming in the Village, or single day passes are offered. Comprehensive program information is available on the official ADE website.
Established by the Amsterdam Dance Event Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, ADE is dedicated to developing electronic music, its culture, and its industry globally. The foundation endeavours to facilitate innovation, growth, and talent, connecting the international music industry and building a base for the next generation of artists and professionals.
