Montreal-based producer and composer Aether today unveiled the second single from his forthcoming EP, ‘Moonstone,’ with the chill, downtempo track, “Tourmaline,” on Monstercat.
Inspired by the way raw minerals form into polished gemstones, the new record sees Aether sample work from an original ambient composition and rework its structure through a refined soundscape of dreamy keys and atmospheric textures. While awakening a fresh perspective in his production process, the new record is cohesive to the upcoming EP’s gemstone theme and evolution of his sound.

Aether will celebrate ten years of making music this year with ‘Moonstone,’ introducing a newfound ambient soundscape to his discography.
