Multifaceted ambient producer AK makes his debut on Monstercat today, with the stunning ethereal track, “Back Again.” Best known for producing textural compositions rooted in the human experience, his first single on the label was written to evoke confidence and accomplishment, after a year of doubt during the pandemic.
AK shares, “I wrote “Back Again“ after taking a break from music to move places. The track is about feeling accomplished again for the first time in a while, and also draws influence from the new area I moved to, which is a lot more vibrant than where I had lived before.”
AK’s music has always been impacted by his surroundings, and currently, his home base in Kassel, Germany. Inspired by its striking nature juxtaposed by its urban soundscapes, AK spends his time capturing field recordings across the vast Kassel landscapes, integrating the unique sonic elements into his music.
