Cheltenham based duo Annix have been the most prominent Jump-Up figures in the UK Drum & Bass scene.
Having cemented their reputation individually as Konichi and Decimal Bass, for delivering some seriously riveting numbers, they combined forces in 2012 to form ‘Annix’.
The proficiency in their productions saw them sign an exclusive deal with Playaz Recordings after being handpicked by the label boss, DJ Hype. Fast forward 2018, Annix’s partnership has quickly evolved into a winning combination captivating audiences worldwide with a hefty fifty plus combined releases to date.
After delivering the critically acclaimed ‘The Dog Knows’ EP, the duo is back on Playaz with an explosive 4 track EP called as the ‘Power Chords’. The EP features label boss DJ Hype, Eksman and Teddy Killerz teaming up with Annix to deliver four uncompromising bangers.
The opener and title track ‘Power Chords’ features their famous neuro driven hard edged sounds. ‘Buss Off’ featuring DJ Hype and Eksman brings Playaz’s signature Jump style to the fore while ‘Stare Death In The Face’ is yet another dancefloor banger and Annix’s best work to date, in our opinion. ‘Uppercut’ featuring Russian trio Teddy Killerz is the biggest element of surprise in the EP, which sees them straddling several styles while combing them to perfection.
