Armin van Buuren has been on an absolute stellar ride of releases, having recently released the exhilarating ‘Tell Me Why’ alongside an already enterprising journey with his ‘A State of Trance’ journey.
Having capped an illustrious career spanning the better part of the last couple of decades, Armin has not only been consistent but also creative and experimental with various styles of music, dealing within the realm of the trance and progressive style he has conquered over the years. Armin’s ever growing versatility has brought a series of interesting collaborations to the forefront, including the recent collaborations with Alesso and Sarah Reeves.
Armin has reunited with House music mainstay Tom Staar, who he has previously worked with on records such as ‘Still Better Off’ and ‘This Aint Techno’ to name a few. Both artists have created a unique vibe, playing to a sound that bridges contemporary trance and house styles that has been rocking mainstages in the pre-pandemic era. ‘Let Go’ is a perfect syncopation of this sound, albeit in a form of epic proportions that propels both artists to raising the bar even further.
‘Let Go’ begins with a driving rolling bassline with a strong lead line from Josha Daniel, that is intelligently processed and with a captivating harmonic section, leading to a rather interesting synth that is definitely a welcome nuance to the record. The rumbling bassline lead verse leads to an emphatic and euphoric chorus with the dynamic top-line complementing the powerful synth and drum sections that is a strong and emphatic listening experience.
Adding to an already list of successful collaborations between Armin and Tom Staar, we have particularly been enjoying this hybrid brand of trance and progressive tunes that is definitely sure to rock mainstages and clubs in the near future.
