Beloved dance music duo ARMNHMR today released their most personal body of work in years, bringing fans the anticipated five-track EP, ‘Waiting For Love.’
The project sees them wear their hearts on their sleeves in a sonically unbound love letter to those that battled loneliness during the pandemic. The title single opens with impassioned vocals from neverwaves that cascade into climactic breakdowns and anthemic melodies, a signature fusion for ARMNHMR. Recently released crowd-favourites also appear on the package, alongside new records “Can’t Let You Go” with Abandoned and RYNN, and “Lonely Nights” with Synymata and Medyk.
ARMNHMR share, “‘Waiting For Love’ is a message about trust and patience. Sometimes we get lost in our own fantasies of how love should find us. It’s a song about putting faith not only in yourself but in the people that come in and out of your life. Sometimes we become so entrenched in authoring our own ending, that more often than not, love eventually finds us in the most unexpected moments.”
ARMNHMR kicked off their largest headline tour to date last month, instantly selling out the first five stops across the West Coast. In just a year, they’ve dominated the live space with performances at leading festivals and venues in the country including EDC Las Vegas, Beyond Wonderland, House of Blues Anaheim, Hollywood Palladium, and more. This weekend, they’ll take to Webster Hall in New York to celebrate the release of ‘Waiting For Love’ with support from Effin, Xavi, and MoMo.
On the cohesive and meaningful aesthetic of their singles and album artwork, ARMNHMR added, “We think animation and Asian culture are very closely intertwined with each other. While the artwork is not specific to an animated series, it was definitely inspired by our childhood identity! We look forward to this new branding direction and are very excited to bring our roots along the way.”
