One of the biggest tracks of 2017, the collaboration of Coldplay and The Chainsmokers, ‘Something Just Like This’ gets a high tempo treatment from Swedish producer, Alesso. The original track is the only non-Ed Sheeran track in current UK top 40 charts.
Last week Swedish duo, Axwell Λ Ingrosso returned to Terminal 5 at New York for a 2-day performance. This marked the return of the Swedish superstars to NY after 2 years. While closing their set on Saturday evening, they debuted Alesso’s remix of ‘Something Just Like This.’ The fact that this remix was debuted by the Swedish duo and not by Alesso himself is quite fishy. Incidents like these make rumours of a Swedish House Mafia reformation with Alesso as the third member believable. However, there is no further concrete evidence about it.
Chris Martin’s vocals perfectly blend in with the combination of progressive synths and the percussions. This track is a perfect club banger and don’t be surprised to see various DJ’s drop this track during their upcoming sets at Ultra Miami. A fan in NY recorded the video of this remix. Watch it below and let us know what you think.
