Following a consistent stream of singles last year, Canadian electro-pop master Bishu returned to Monstercat today with his groovy new single, “Autumn Leaves.”
Written in collaboration with his Twitch community, Bishu openly took feedback from his fans in the live chat and filtered their ideas through his refined production stylings. The unique process resulted in an eclectic mix of trap, future bass, and house sonic elements.
The wobbly synth leads, warm chords, and airy vocals form an infectious melody, while the deep brass stabs, trap-inspired drums, and 808s add a layer of dark rhythmic energy. With an EP on the horizon, Bishu is off to a promising start.
Bishu shares, “The first ‘Bishu X You’ song was “Autumn Leaves.” It was the first song that my stream and I collaborated on together. It was almost awkward at first as it was a very different style of producing. It was almost uncomfortably organic because every ‘big’ production decision was decided by the Twitch chat. Overall I’m very happy with the outcome and I feel the chat and I made some history together!”
