Australian talent Blanke has been hard at work since releasing his debut single last year.
Following on from Curiosity / Nashi, the DJ/producer released his own flips of Virtual Self’s EON BREAK and Boyz Noize’s Overthrow that have placed him firmly on the bass music map. Now, he’s releasing Sneaky Plans EP – a powerfully engaging 3-tracker that works to solidify Blanke’s growing reputation as one of the scene’s finest newcomers.

A breakout year in 2017 saw Blanke play shows all over Oz + NZ, sharing stages and festival lineups with acts like Kill The Noise, Snails, RL Grime, Alison Wonderland, Dillon Francis, Yellow Claw, Carnage, Kayzo, Zomboy, What So Not, Jauz and JOYRYDE.
Remixes of Peking Duk’s ‘Stranger’ and Tommy Trash’s ‘Sinners’ have clocked over 670k spins on Spotify, landed in the Mint and Fresh Electronic playlists and scored support from NestHQ and Run the Trap. The ‘Curiosity EP’ dropped in June 2017 and saw support from the likes of Insomniac’s Night Owl Radio, Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats Radio, Anna Lunoe’s Beats 1 show, Run The Trap, Bassrush, UKF, Noiseprn & YourEDM.
Spring single ‘Blue’ with Samsaruh saw spot plays on Triple J, rotation on Triple J Unearthed and playlisting in Spotify’s New Music Friday, New Dance Beats and The OZ Viral 50 charts.
Flips of Virtual Self’s ‘EON BREAK’ and Boys Noize’s ‘Overthrow’ rounded the year out, amassing 100k + plays and scoring air time on radio shows like Diplo + Friends, Deadbeats, Nghtmre + Slanders GUD VIBRATIONS and Alison Wonderland’s Radio Wonderland, with support from Steve Aoki on the Ultra mainstage and K?D at Beyond Wonderland.
A remix for Kilter’s ‘No Games’ kicked of 2018, landing spot spins on Triple J. ‘Chaos’ with ZEKE BEATS dropped on Borgore’s Buygore records shortly after, as did ‘Disturbed’ with Avance which clocked 50k+ spins in its first 3 weeks. A remix of Duke + Jones’ ‘Tusk’ dropped on Deadbeats at the end of March, and with 7 releases slated before the end of April, there is much to look forward too..
