Following his fan-favourite throwback track “Warp,” Swedish producer Bossfight returned to Monstercat today, unveiling his lethal new single, “Grit.”
Inching closer to the reveal of his anticipated EP this summer, the record is a testament to his polished craft with the guttural bass growls and punchy kicks fusing perfectly with the driven percussion and aggressive synth stabs. Earning his own playable character in the video game Paladins, Bossfight was reimagined as ‘Koga’ in Monstercat’s popular Crossover Pass last month. Just halfway through, “Grit” is another sign that he’s in his element having one of his best years yet.
Bossfight shares, “I came up with an early version of “Grit” back in 2019 after playing Monstercat’s ADE event. I’m really happy with how the different elements came together, it’s made to go off! “Grit” is also the last single from my upcoming EP dropping this summer, which has been in the works for a while. Due to the pandemic, it just hasn’t felt like the right time to release it until now.”
