The huge new release follows Caitlyn’s success with Jack Wins anthem ‘Freewheelin’.
Having seen a meteoric rise in the industry so far, the talented singer and songwriter Caitlyn Scarlett has just dropped her latest single “Nightmares” – a track that has been picked up by BBC as the theme for popular drama ‘Clique’ (which is written by ‘Skins’ creator Jess Brittain). The track features Segal.
A dynamic, ascending opening awaits and welcomes you before the soothing vocals take lead into the track. Having the potential to get you dancing instantly, the groovy track is all you need to light up a dark space. Vibrant chords, and a dreamy feeling in the middle is what the track exudes, while the use of chimes gives it a nightmare-like inclination.
With her previous releases amassing over 10 million hits on Spotify, Caitlyn has been a talent like no other. Her smash hits include “Shangri- La” which received immense success across the globe. Other singles like “4 am” along with Dan Caplen made way into the New Music Friday playlists in over 20 different territories, while “Ornaments” was strong on BBC Introducing’s Record Of The Week on BBC Radio 1 throughout the summer.
She has been able to create a great impact on fans of all kinds and also shares an incredible account of young fan as follows, “A fan sent me a video of his 8-year-old daughter (unaware she’s being filmed) in her bedroom singing along to my song ‘Heart For Rent’ and I almost sobbed like a maniac. That really touched me. Moments like that make everything I’ve done to get my music out there totally worth it.”
She also collaborated on Jack Wins’ “Free Wheelin”, which truly saw her popularity soar as it currently sits with a phenomenal 14 million streams on Spotify.
Having received collaboration requests from the likes of Banx & Banx, Mojam, MNEK, Ella Eyre, Ray Bik, CliQ and MS Banks, Caitlyn is high on demand which also reflected in her sold-out debut headline show at London’s Servant Jazz Quarters.
The artist shows a lot of potentials and we really can’t wait to hear more from her. What do you think of this track? Comment below. Download it here.
