“Closer” has been one of the biggest pop records in recent musical history in Canada. The track, which features vocals from American singer Halsey achieved a staggering 9x Platinum certification in Canada, until yesterday when it went Diamond! This feat puts The Chainsmokers in the same league as Adele, Drake, both whose tracks “Rolling In The Deep” and “One Dance” went platinum earlier this year.
