Bringing to the forefront, the energy that they are known for, the Dutch duo Chocolate Puma have released a two-track EP – Reality.
Out now on Spinnin’ Deep, the tracks Reality and Back To U feat. Colonel Red, continue the amazing streak that the duo has had all throughout 2018.
Starting off with hard-hitting beats, the first track of the EP, Reality, truly shakes you up with the rumbling effect and the heavy bass. Slowly gaining momentum, it maintains the rusty vibe quite phenomenally before sucking you into a richer and nastier spree of beats! Dark, intense and ground-shaking are the appropriate descriptions for this track.
The second one, Back To U features some speech-based vocals, to begin with, before the subtle melodies playing in the background introduce the groovy and hard-hitting beats. With the duo’s signature style displayed in the bass-line, you are led into a phase dominated by a melody and music with rich texture. The latter have of the track gets trippier, with the blending in of various elements which surprise you.

Coming off an incredible show at the ADE – the Reality club night which saw the likes of Umnet Ozcan, Laidback Luke, Carta, Zonderling, the duo had set up the right base for such an amazing release. They also came out with hit singles like Lullaby, Scrub The Ground, in 2016 and the vintage house tune Gotta Get Away in 2018, which stood as testaments to the variety of music that the duo is capable of producing.
