New York’s breakout star CID has collaborated with Brazilian Bass prodigy VINNE on an utterly wild track that CID describes is a “dance floor weapon”. Take Your Place, out now on Tiësto’s label, Musical Freedom.
Incorporating pitched-down vocals throughout, Take Your Place has stuttering, glitchy beats and an unruly build that clamours to a dirty drop set to destroy dancefloors over the world. We did warn you – it’s a wild one! CID himself says:
“VINNE was one of the first producers I heard when I was introduced to the Brazilian Bass sound. We met last spring when I was on tour in Brazil and soon after, we started working on Take Your Place It’s a dance floor weapon that has been getting amazing reactions everywhere I play it.”

With a Grammy award for Best Remixed Recording under his belt for his work on Cedric Gervais’ remix of Lana Del Ray’s Summertime Sadness, CID has played stages across the globe from EDC Las Vegas to Magnetic Festival in Prague. His striking productions make him the in-demand producer, DJ, remixer and engineer he is today, with the finest DJs including Galantis, Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, Tiësto, and more backing his music. Take Your Place is another collaboration to add to CID’s growing list of successful projects including Us and Sweet Memories (collaborations with Kaskade), Use Me Up with Anabel Englund and Believer which he released with CeeLo Green.
Meanwhile VINNE has been making his name with tracks, Steady As She Goes, Rock U and Bring It Back that have earned spins by similarly prestigious DJ names such as Fedde Le Grand, SNBRN, Lost Frequencies and Kaskade. His tracks have gained more than 2 million streams on Spotify alone, and last year, VINNE was the youngest Brazilian DJ to play mainstage at Ultra Brazil. He’s not even 20-years-old yet, so it’s an incredibly promising start for this Brazilian Bass pioneer.
