Arcade Fire just dropped their single ‘Everything Now’ and also announced an upcoming album under the same name.

Now what has a Canadian indie rock band have to do with EDM?

One half of Daft Punk, Thomas Bangalter has co-produced the single along with Arcade Fire and Steve Mackey of Pulp and he has managed to evidently bring in the French duo’s popular electronic disco style into the track. ‘Everything Now’ is a splendid combination of cool synths and indie rock, and marks a jubilant return of the band.

The album will be out on July 28th, about 4 years after the band’s previous album ‘Reflektor’. One interesting fact observed here is that ‘Reflektor’ came out the same year Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’ came out. Let’s hope that the French duo take a hint and follow the same pattern!

Hope that we get to see some new music by Daft Punk sometime soon. Until then sit back and listen to ‘Everything Now’:
