We have kicked off to a perfect start for the summer as we have gotten ‘Solid Ground.’
The track is released via Brainjack Music and features the up and coming DJ Afterdark and label boss Damon Sharpe and is a classic-feeling house track featuring piano, pulsating bass, and Kate Wild’s commanding vocals.Solid Ground begins with classic house strings and piano leading to house plucks building into the traditional house drop, filled with funky drums, vocal ad libs, and bouncing melodies. With the later part of the song, we hear a change in rhythm and Kate’s soothing sustaining vocals bring the song full circle back to the original drop.
A perfect blend of the original house elements and modern sound, the song surely sets instant summer vibes.

Damon Sharpe is a Grammy and ASCAP award winning producer, songwriter, DJ, and recording artist. His creative output behind the scenes gave him the opportunity to work with artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Pitbull, and Alesso.
As a DJ, Damon has performed at events such as EDC Vegas, ADE, and SXSW. There have been heavy rotations of his tracks on Sirius BPM, Sirius Chill, iHeart Evolution, Music Choice, and he has received support from Don Diablo, Lucas & Steve, Hardwell, Afrojack, Sam Feldt, R3HAB, Morgan Page, Nicky Romero, Martin Garrix, and Timmy Trumpet. A number of publications have featured him, including Billboard.com, edm.com, Medium, Flaunt magazine, Dancing Astronaut and EDM World Magazine.
Kate Wild is a singer, songwriter, vocal producer, and director of 91Vocals, the world’s first vocal sample label she created with producer/sound creator Capsun. Kate’s vocal samples have been featured on countless tracks by David Guetta, Dillon Frances, Shiftk3y, Low Steppa, Luciano, Breathe Carolina, Jay Hardway, Dannic, Olly James and Bring Me The Horizon among many others.
With her two companies, Kate splits her time between songwriting, producing original music with producer DJs, managing her sample label (911Vocals.com), and being the Sr content producer at splice.com.
With having both of the above supporting Afterdark, he surely shows a lot of potential and we can’t wait to hear more from him!
