Having been a fan of dance music and Armin van Buuren since 2003, I was inspired to start my own electronic music publication with a very simple, and clear goal - to share electronic music with old, and new fans alike. Working alongside a great team has made me keep that goal alive, and build on it.

Dave Summit Serves Up Deep, Thumping House Single, “Future Dancefloor”

Dave Summit is joining the ranks of Wax Motif’s Divided Souls imprint with his label debut, “Future Dancefloor.”

In the last few years, the emerging house producer from Quebec, Canada, has been on an aggressive ascent up the musical mountainside with a steady output that has seen him tackling tight and edgy grooves from all across the house music spectrum. Now, Dave Summit is making his way over to Divided Souls, leaving his mark on their catalog as the second artist to release on the label outside of its head honcho, Wax Motif. Summit’s new single arrives a few weeks shy of the first non-Wax release, which went to French duo SQWAD and their stompy bass house tune, “Never Stop.” He takes a deeper, more restrained tech-house route on “Future Dancefloor,” working ricocheting synth lines, suspenseful chords, and whooshing pad lines atop a bed of shuffling drums that create a cavernous vibe fit for all hours of the day or night.

Wax Motif gave the track a spin when he opened up his HARD Summer BBQ Livestream set, with Insomniac’s founder Pasquale Rotella getting down to it on camera in the foreground. The tune has also picked up radio support on Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats Radio, Jauz’s Bite This Radio, and Alison Wonderland’s Radio Wonderland show.

Dave Summit has maintained a busy release schedule since he first kicked off the project back in 2017, putting his stamp on future house, bass house, tech house, and beyond for a number of a quickly growing list of stables. His discography already counts esteemed labels from the likes of Terminal Underground, Uprise, Purple Team and Do Not Duplicate Recordings, and the addition of Divided Souls is only helping his case at reaching the proverbial peak of the mountain.
