David Guetta’s tribute to George Floyd in his recent livestream has received a lot of backfire.
As many know, George Floyd was brutally murdered by the cops and protests were observed in many parts of the United States of America. Most artists that were performing through livestreams stood in solidarity by giving a tribute to Floyd. David Guetta also used his platform to pay a tribute to Floyd and family by playing a house track with Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech layered over it. Give it a listen.
David Guetta also spoke a few words on the ongoing police brutality.
“Last night, I knew we were going to do this and I made a special record… in honour of George Floyd. I really hope we can see more unity and more peace when already things are so difficult.”
Many felt that this tribute was “Tone Deaf” and had a few words to say.

In the end, it’s the intentions that matter and David Guetta had noble intentions towards his actions and portraying negativity towards him will not solve it.
