Dutch-born progressive house producer Embliss has returned with his first original single after a three-year musical hiatus, delivering “Phases Of The Moon” featuring singer-songwriter Lumynesynth on Monstercat.

The organic beat draws inspiration from the breathtaking live percussion found in tracks from notable names like Gab Rhome and Lee Burridge, while the strings are meant to wash over listeners like a wave. Embliss first released on Silk in 2009 and has since made a name for himself with tastemakers across the chill scene. Lumynesynth has also become widely known for her melodic collaborations including her latest EP, ‘Higher Peaks’ with Hausman, as well as work with beloved Silk artists including A.M.R and Rylan Taggart.

Embliss shares, “The track was written around the main theme of the strings and the piano happening after the break. It had a different title before Beth and I started working on it, which then became “Phases of the Moon” based on the lyrics.”

Lumynesynth adds, “This track was inspired by the ebb and flow of creativity that all artists face. Some weeks, I can write five songs that are all great. Others, I can’t come up with anything of substance. Inspiration comes and goes, but you know that it’ll always come back around if you give yourself enough time. Just like the phases of the moon, the cycle will always repeat itself, and inspiration will always find you again.”
