Progressive house artist Flexible Fire returned to Monstercat today with his dreamy EP, “Alpina.”
Spanning two tracks with melodic-meets-deep house stylings, the package is a stunning arrangement of organic percussion, ethereal synths, and ambient chords.
Evoking a sense of calmness and nostalgia, the title track echoes with simple harmonies while “Laguna Azul” sees Flexible Fire channel his Latin American roots with his Charangu, Siku, and Marimba instruments. On a path to exploring more introspective soundscapes, Flexible Fire has risen to become a Monstercat Silk favourite with his world-building musicianship.
Flexible Fire shares, “In this EP, I have been able to explore a wide range of sounds as a composer, from the minimal and melodic in “Alpina” to the textural and more groovy sounds in ‘Laguna Azul.’”
