Düsseldorf-based producer Frizzo releases his brand new single ‘For The Weekend’ – via Warner Germany. The track is the third single to be released from his new EP ‘Game Six’.
Emerging as one of Germany’s most versatile DJs and producers, ‘For The Weekend’ sees Frizzo collaborate with Jamaican reggae and dancehall crooner Charly Black to create a track that is bursting with original Jamaican vibes and grooves.
Speaking of the track Frizzo said: “It’s a song that could easily fill any dance floor. The accompanying video was shot on site in Jamaica and it follows Charly through a week of beach parties and live music under the sun. It was just the perfect vibe!”
Frizzo’s work is multifaceted. Having touched on various genres such as electronic, hip hop, trap, dancehall, moombahton, and many others, he came to understand that music is more than strictly adhering to one style and it is at the intersection of different genres that he feels most at home. Frizzo is poised to prove himself as an all-round artist overseeing the entire creative process, from picking the ideal feature artists to envisioning the project’s audiovisual realization and overall concept.
Besides his own tracks, Frizzo made a name for himself through remixes and collaborations with the likes of Haftbefehl, Shaggy, Loco Dice, Just Blaze, Dizzee Rascal, Calvin Harris, and Stefanie Heinzmann. He also possesses an impressive live CV having played numerous international DJ gigs, sharing the stage with fellow artists DJ Snake, Yellow Claw and Timbaland. In his youth, Frizzo had aspired to be a professional soccer player at Fortuna Düsseldorf, but his dream was cut short by a severe injury. He nonetheless became Borussia Dortmund’s favorite DJ. As such he set the tone at big-time events including the German Football Association’s Cup Final (DFB-Pokalfinale) in 2012 and 2014, as well as the 2013 UEFA Champions League Final in London.
