UK-bred, British Columbia-based, genre-bending producer Gl0bal refuses to be put into a box, having made a name for himself in the bass scene with a sonically diverse catalog that consists of an assortment of trap, bass, and dubstep.

Known for seamlessly blending electronic worlds, he has earned the support from industry heavy-weights such as DJ Snake, Tiësto, Hardwell, The Chainsmokers, and Major Lazer; releases through influential Flux Pavilion imprint Circus Records and Excision’s Subsidia Records; performance slots at festivals such as Lost Lands; and a nomination for Electronic and Artist Of The Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards.

Now, Gl0bal releases his debut album ‘Judgement Day’ – an eight-track journey that expands the producer’s artistic scope even further and displays electronic music’s powerful storytelling potential.

This LP is a comprehensive glimpse into Gl0bal’s artistry and craft, an extensive experience that showcases Gl0bal’s technical mastery and irresistible bass sensibilities. It also contains a narrative that chronicles themes of regret, accountability, and facing one’s past in order to move forward – a bevy of thought-provoking messages melded inside trunk-rattling bangers.

Listeners got their first taste of ‘Judgement Day’ with the lead single “Demon Hours,” a collaboration with viral London rapper Big Jest. The track melds UK drill with hard trap and bass — a vibrant combination that incorporates Gl0bal’s cultural roots into his dark, trap-heavy brand and exemplifies him as a master of left-field bass music.

Next was “Pain feat. Armanni Reign” – a genre-abolishing track that highlights Gl0bal’s signature hard-hitting sound while harnessing the smooth essence of Armanni Reign’s vocal prowess.

The rest of ‘Judgement Day’’s tracklist is full of other explosively immersive cuts. Exemplifying the album’s powerful narrative and sonic symbiosis is “Broken & Beautiful,” a collaboration with fellow Canadian bass-purveyor So Sus (who’s released on labels such as Monstercat, Deadbeats, and Bitbird) and potent dance music vocalist Xtina Louise.

Replete with harrowing lyrics and atmospheric soundscapes mixed with deep bass growls and blazing future bass synths, the track is an epic, emotional, and unpredictable auditory experience that showcases Gl0bal and his collaborators’ creative ingenuity.

Earlier in the tracklist, Judgement Day’s kicks off its story with “Judgement,” an eerie, haunting song that perfectly sets the album’s tone. The track begins with a ghostly build that transitions into a drop full of industrial, clanking bass sound design and head-banging 808s. Then there’s “Run,” a propulsive, extra-terrestrial hard-trap song that uses appropriately placed vocal samples to evoke the album’s mentally-conflicted main character.

Judgement Day is rounded out by the vibrant, trembling “Earthquake,” the blitzing mid-tempo cut “Death,” and the catastrophic, all-enveloping “Destroy” with South Korean dubstep virtuoso Rick Flxx.

Both a genre-defying album full of singular trap and bass bangers and a full-length narrative listening experience, Judgement Day is a unique bass album that shows Gl0bal’s desire to use his ferocious soundscapes as a mode of self-expression. With an equal dedication towards songcraft and cohesive album construction, few are making a mark in electronic music quite like Gl0bal.
