One Last Song

Gorgon City’s recent album Escape has tasted a lot of success since its release, propelling the in-demand duo further towards success. One of the best singles from the album – One Last Song, feat. JP Cooper and Yungen, promised to create a lot of noise when it was released and also featured on our Top 5 picks from Escape.

Now, the track has received a pack of remixes from Eli Brown and Prismo, along with their own Terrace Mix of it.

The first mix of the pack, the Terrace Mix by the duo themselves is quite laidback as it begins, retaining the soulful vibe that the original carries. With the upbeat tempo and rumbling chord patterns, it surely makes you groove to it instantly. The club-ready mix is laced with some catchy loops and echoey vocals and you’ll certainly crave to hear this at all the clubs you ever go to.

The Eli Brown remix brings about a rich, bassy effect to begin with, and feels really soothing to listen to. With the tempo maintained close to the original, the thumping house vibe that it gives you is incredible. One may also find it dark at places, as the melodies in the background get prominent. The production of this track is masterfully done to say the least.

Prismo, who is best known for his original ‘Weakness’, has also given this track a beautiful mix. It is quite distinct from the other two mixes, as the steel-drum influences get more prominent in this one.

Gorgon City, having established themselves well in the industry, have amassed a massive 676 million combined streams till today. Their debut album ‘Sirens’, selling more than 70000 UK copies, got them their immense success, leading them to launch their club-focused REALM imprint.

With Gorgon City playing a wealth of dates across the UK between January and February 2019 during their ‘Escape’ Tour, Matt and Kye will also embark on a huge run of US performances, playing to over 40,000 people with scheduled events at the likes of Philadelphia’s iconic Fillmore venue, and further performances in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and many more.
