Electronic Excursions

The mysterious Hal Stucker has now come out with his debut album – Electronic Excursions, on Pure Trance Recordings and it sure is a masterfully crafted pack of progressive bliss.

This album is a clear expression of his musical skill, and he has his own kind of audience. It is also evident that this isn’t an attempt at purely getting up the ladder, or getting more gigs, but to showcase his incredible experience of more than 25 years in the industry.

The album houses 14 tracks, each having its own charm and wonder to cast. ‘Celeste’ is one with mystical lyrics, airy vibes as it drives you into a space unknown. ‘Chaos Bowl’ is a fast-paced and happy sounding track that has its own grip. ‘Fairlights’ proves to be bassy as it makes you want to groove the shit out of yourself- no really!

‘Rubix’ is an intense track with a psychedelic feel to it. ’Retrace’ is an upbeat, feel-good track and houses great vocals. ‘Disillusioned’ is truly world class and can create immense crowd control! Apart from these, there’s a lot many that are fantastic and you’d probably get glued to.

Talking about his album, he says, “Over the last 12 months, I’ve embarked on a little musical outing to try and create a body of work with depth & emotion that you could listen to anywhere. I know that could be a cliché, but it’s the truth. It’s been an absolute joy working on the album – my first body of work in 25 years of being in the music industry. It’s different, but I sincerely hope you all enjoy the album as much as I did writing it”.

About his unique name, this is what he has to say, “Many people are unaware that Hal Stucker is an alias conjured up back in 1998. The name actually came from reading an article written by the real Hal Stucker and after a few releases under this alias, I got an email from the man himself. He was and still is based in Boston, has written articles for the likes of the New York Times, WIRED and other major publications in the US.”

This album isn’t definitely for the masses. It’s for the ones who indulge into a whole new world of music, it’s for a dedicated set of music lovers and yet it spills across a flair that can almost instantly grab anyone’s love.
