LA-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Highlnd returns to his homebase at Lost In Dreams Records with his latest single, “A Queen May Fall,” featuring singer-songwriter Easae.

Hot off an official remix of Danny Olson and yetep’s collab “Melting,” which bolsters vocal work from indie pop artist Easae, Highlnd connects with Easae for their first collaboration. “A Queen May Fall” is the perfect mixture of the artists’ complementary styles, fusing gripping vocals with a powerful electropop backing.

Easae’s raw delivery lurches from the shadows in this song about facing one’s own demons. Highlnd’s production covers the gamut of emotion, while moving from dreary piano keys to thrashing guitar licks, pulsating leads, and prominent power chords. The ever-evolving ballad pulls skeletons out of the closet and forces listeners to confront their problems head-on. From the excitement of newly discovered freedom to the painful memories that keep flooding back, it’s the soundtrack to finally letting go.

Deciding to venture out into new sonic territory, Highlnd says: “With this track, we personify the grip that our vices and failures have on us, and talk about how important and freeing it is to push through the tough times. Writing this together was so cathartic and natural. Bringing my emo rock and pop punk roots into a track for the first time felt very authentic and fitting while still being able to center the production around my high-energy and euphoric sound I’ve been obsessed with lately.”

EASAE sheds light on the single, stating: “It’s a song about pushing through your demons to hone in on the strength that has been hiding underneath. Lost in Dreams delivers on multiple levels of creativity and opportunity. ‘A Queen May Fall’ is a testament to the quality of music they produce and release. This track hits.”

LA-based producer Highlnd has become a constant fixture on Lost In Dreams. He’s unleashed a myriad of singles with the label, as well as his impressive four-track EP ‘Patterns.’ He was named one of YourEDM’s ‘Top 40 Artists to Watch’ in 2021 and has performed at EDC Las Vegas, Beyond Wonderland, Nocturnal Wonderland, as well as both editions of the annual Lost In Dreams festival. With support from Illenium, Alison Wonderland, and Gryffin,, Highlnd is making his indelible mark on the melodic bass scene like no one else.

New York-based singer-songwriter Easae has been making a name for herself, as well. Her debut vocal feature on Danny Olson and yetep’s “Melting” was a breakout success amassing over 1.3 million streams on Spotify alone. Showcasing her immense talent, she unveiled her debut album ‘Not Sure I Love It Here Yet’ this past December.

“A Queen May Fall” is the perfect blend of dark pop, melodic bass, and alt-rock influences, delivering a catchy yet impassioned emotional rollercoaster. Highlnd and Easae’s cross-coastal collaboration is a masterclass in creating beauty from pain.

Highlnd’s new single ‘ A Queen May Fall’ (feat. Easae) is available on all platforms via Lost In Dreams Records.
