Infinity Ink, aka Ali Love and Luca Cazal, have posted their new single ‘Too Strong’ online, following a world exclusive airing on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show.
Available from 25 March, the acid-heavy ‘Too Strong’ was mixed in New York by Phil Moffa and is the first glimpse of their forthcoming EP; this track will precede further singles ahead of their debut album to be released later this year. The duo has now signed to Different Recordings, the electronic imprint of the [PIAS] group.
Infinity Ink’s new live show made its much-lauded debut at the 2015 closing party of Paradise at DC10 in Ibiza; a transformative ‘moment’ for the band, it encapsulated their vision of peaktime, fully live house music and demonstrated the ambition of their new material. The first UK live show takes place later this month at Elrow presents Hot Creations at Birmingham’s Rainbow Venues on 26 March. A full tour will begin in April and run throughout the summer festival season.
Long-term friends, Ali and Luca’s musical journey includes various London bands, collaborations with The Chemical Brothers, Justice, and Roisin Murphy, and their work with Hot Natured (Ali and Luca are one half of the band), and the Crosstown Rebels and Hot Creations crews. Their second single as Infinity Ink, ‘Infinity’, is a bonafide contemporary classic; it transcended early support from Seth Troxler and Jamie Jones to achieve crossover success across Europe – charting high in the French and Belgian main singles charts along the way.
After the success of ‘Infinity’, Ali and Luca put Infinity Ink on ice in order to write and tour the Hot Natured album, with Ali later releasing his own debut album on Crosstown, and Luca producing a slew of solo singles and remixes. They returned to the studio to work on new Infinity Ink material last year, and the pair are currently in the studio finishing the songs for their much-anticipated debut album.
