Pop Singer-Songwriter Jena Rose Releases New Summer Anthem “Being Good Is Boring”

Today, Cuban- American pop sensation, Jena Rose (20M streams, 100M video views, 570M TikTok plays) released her latest single, “Being Good Is Boring” and music video.

“Being Good is Boring” is a showcase for Jena, to help define her persona, set against a night out after a long lockdown. It’s empowered, reverent and irreverent, and meets the world and its people where they’re at. It’s about the freewheeling confidence of not taking yourself too seriously. Jena takes what the night gives and turns it into a banger.

The native Texan artist signed to Independent Label, Gem Street, has gained momentum across the internet especially with TikTok and YouTube, leveraging her audience on these specific platforms.

The singer/songwriter’s most recent single that hit #38 on the Top 40 Radio chart, “Checkmate,” inspires listeners to take their power back in relationships/friendships which was originally inspired by one of her favorite shows, The Queen’s Gambit. In its first two months of release, the single produced 10M+ streams and 7.9M video views on YouTube, as well as 5.3M views on Facebook. The song also spent seven weeks in MTV’s top 10 countdown.

Currently, the hit single has over 320M TikTok plays with 33K videos made to the sound. She recently performed on MTV Jam Sessions and has charted on Apple (#23) and Shazam (#19).

Her upcoming EP, Baby Maybe, launches later this year and will feature songs by Grammy nominated producers and writers whose credits include Blink 182, Machine Gun Kelly, 5SOS and Panic! at the Disco.
