Joe Hawes is a Future House DJ and producer from Torquay, England who has been impressing the scene with his impeccable releases and DJ sets.

Joe has played in some of Ibiza’s most legendary clubs such as Amnesia and Cream supporting the likes of Calvin Harris and Deadmau5. With his latest EP ‘Shakin’ out on Hungry Koala Records, we caught up with Joe to discuss his top 10 tracks.

N-Trance – Set You Free

This is the first track that comes to mind, purely because it was the track me and my friends would always go crazy for when we heard it on a night out. It quickly became “Our Track”.

Limp Bizkit – Break Stuff

Completely different to what I usually DJ but this song brings back so many memories! It was on the first album I ever purchased as a kid, “Significant Other”. And it quickly became my favourite song, I couldn’t even tell you the number of times I played along to this on the drums!

Robert Miles – Children

This track is similar to N-Trance, it was always a banger to hear and I think this was the first song I learned on Piano! I still love listening to this today, and you will often hear a mash-up or remix of this track in my sets!

Sum 41 – Pieces

This track is the most depressing song in this list; however, this song means a lot to me, I listened to this a lot when I was a teenager whenever I felt down. It’s one of those songs I felt I could relate to the lyrics too!

Don Diablo – On My Mind

‘On my Mind’ is here because it’s one of the tracks I remember most when I first watched Don Diablo at Ushuaia. Since then, he has become one of my favourite DJ/Producers.

Linkin Park – In The End

This is one BEAST of a tune! I played this in a band so many times when I was in school (No way good enough in hindsight!). I think it was one of my favourite tunes to play. I could always just let out any frustration I had on the drums to this!

Axwell & Ingrosso – Dream Bigger

I feel like I don’t need to say much about this one, this is a HUGE track and I love playing it out in my sets still. The drop really does give me Goosebumps!

Red Hot Chilli Peppers – Otherside

I play ‘Otherside’ maybe 75% of the times in my set in forms of a mash up or remix of course. But this is just an anthem everyone knows and loves and loves singing along to!

Tiesto – Adagio For Strings

This is probably the most Eutrophic track I can think of and this is and always will be a banger! I wish Tiesto would play this in his sets, I really do think everyone would love it! This is a track that will nearly always give me goosebumps!

Martin Garrix – Scared To Be Lonely

This is probably the most recent track on the list. But at the point this came out/when I started listening to it most I could really relate to the lyrics and it’s just an outright emotional song which I will never get tired of listening too.
