John O’ Callaghan Symmetric

Trance dons John O’ Callaghan and Cold Blue team up for an explosive single this year-end as they release the track “Symmetric”.

The blending-in of their creative minds finds perfect synchronization and displays symmetry for sure. The track is now out on Subculture Recordings.

Staring off with thumping beats that carry an intense tempo, the track truly mesmerizes you with its deep basslines and a magnanimous feeling. As we venture a few minutes into the track, it gets really bright with melodies playing in the background, offering the track an intimate, atmospheric feeling. Things do get a little swift in the quiet interlude where the track gains its momentum to shift gears into a phenomenal second half. This track shows what really can happen when two master producers spend time in the studio!

Although it took some time for these two to create music together, it is certainly worth the wait. JOC first dropped the track earlier this summer on various stages. The track has also been supported by revered DJs including Armin who offered praises for it on the ASOT891.

Veteran DJ and producer O’Callaghan or JOC, as his army of fans has dubbed him, has long pushed the boundaries of musical genres in ways that have earned him a stellar reputation across the dance music industry. From the ambient progressive tones of the ‘Henrik Zuberstein’ guise to the techno wedged into his ‘Joint Operations Centre’ productions. He always showcases true diversity in his sound and has emerged as a leader of the trance movement.

His remix of Gareth Emery’s ‘Concrete Angel’ hit Number One in the download charts, and the original was voted ‘tune of the year’ by millions of fans on Armin Van Buuren’s ‘A State Of Trance’ radio show.

Cold Blue quickly grew in popularity with successful releases on Subculture, Kearnage, Pure Trance and FSOE. With multiple releases, the year so far has looked really solid for the artist enabling him to cement his place as a master of trance. With shows lined up in the US, Mexico and the UK this year end, the artist’s popularity is further on the rise.
