Under the alias of Joint Operation Centre, John O’ Callaghan releases his first ever vocal original featuring Kate Miles on the vocals, on Subculture Recordings.
It’s a comeback on Subculture for John after five years since the release of ‘Under A Sea Of Birds’ and it’s a brilliant comeback as the dark production gets a tinge of very special vocals. A really hard-hitting tempo, with the airy vocals going on in the background, making you feel absolutely meditative! The melodies have been used to best effect to bring out the feeling of what lies “Behind The Silence”. Fine resounds of bass, makes it dark yet tantalizingly addictive. Definitely a special track, this is!
O’Callaghan or ‘JOC’ as his army of fans have dubbed him, has long pushed the boundaries of musical genres in ways that have earned him a stellar reputation across the dance music industry. From the ambient progressive tones of the ‘Henrik Zuberstein’ guise to the techno wedged into his ‘Joint Operations Centre’ productions. He always showcases true diversity in his sound and has emerged as a leader of the trance movement.
His remix of Gareth Emery’s ‘Concrete Angel’ hit Number One in the download charts, and the original was voted ‘tune of the year’ by millions of fans on Armin Van Buuren’s ‘A State Of Trance’ radio show. With three studio albums and a discography littered with some of the most iconic Trance records of the recent era, such as: ‘Big Sky’, ‘Find Yourself’, ‘One Special Particle; and ‘Exactly’.While many of the tenants of trance have recently waved the white flag in exchange for top-dollar, big-room business, John O’Callaghan has always stuck to his guns.
Kate is a vocalist from Norway who came into limelight with her collab on the track Smart Apes vs. DJ Anna Lee feat. Kate Miles – Perfect (Original Mix) literally blew away dance floors around the world. As well as the original, the many remixes were constant leaders in the Beatport TOP100 and other important charts for many months. The track was a true hit and had big support from world DJs not only on radio shows but on numerous dance floors in global clubs as well.
