With his sophomore album Galaxies Within Us which dropped this past February, dynamic multi-talented artist and producer Kill Paris is wasting no time in between releases. His next single “Venus Fly Trap” is out now via Monstercat Uncaged.
Stepping out of the realm of his usual laidback melodies, Kill Paris’ trap-inspired tune “Venus Fly Trap” is heavier and hits harder than the usual KP concoction. Once again using his MIDI Sprout, “Venus Fly Trap” is literally crafted around the sound of a Venus Fly Trap enjoying its latest meal.
It’s one for the headbangers, all while retaining tasteful elements of that bass funk and glitchy sound that Kill Paris has become known for. “Venus Fly Trap” will be Kill Paris’ third single released on Monstercat Uncaged this year. We are excited to see what he showcases next!
About Kill Paris
Corey Baker, better known as Kill Paris, began his musical journey at the age of 15. Learning a handful of instruments such as guitar, piano, bass, and percussion, the Indiana-born producer has proven to be an extremely well-rounded musician. His foray into dance music began in 2012 under Skrillex’s wing, quickly amassing a solid following of loyal fans who have dubbed him the “worlds friendliest DJ.” His varied discography includes his remix of Illenium’s “Only One,” “Red Lights” featuring Dotter, “Operate” featuring Imad Royal, and his collab “Fizzy Lifting Drink” with Big Gigantic and Jimi Tents. Kill Paris’s interest in plants, spectrums of light, and nature sparked the inspiration for his latest body of work, Galaxies Between Us as he used a MIDI Sprout to write the project.
