Koven is back with another killer dubstep track – Board Game.
Having released multiple hit tracks with Monstercat in the past, Koven continues to add to their stellar dubstep arsenal. With Katie Boyle’s unique vocals and the excellent production filled with heavy bass, “Board Game” stands out from the rest. With more to come from Koven this year, we are excited to see where Koven takes us next on their musical journey.
About Koven
One of the most versatile and exciting duo’s of this generation known as Koven, is fronted by Katie Boyle and producer Max Rowat. The vocals Katie Boyle brought to Koven was an altering experience for the act as her unique vocals brought a new element to the cinematic sound.
From day one, Koven showcased their talents to the world with the release of their free “Wake You Up EP”. This instantly made an impact across the scene and saw support from some of the most influential tastemakers of the time.
Koven was picked up by one of the world’s leading bass music labels Viper Recoding, where they then released a string of singles bringing them to new heights. Gaining recognition with their organic yet precise production, Koven began to see regular plays on popular radio stations such as Radio 1, Kiss, Capital and XFM along with millions of online streams.
After years of touring following their earlier successes, Koven went on to release their debut EP “Hereinafter” which added to their arsenal of achievements. “Sometimes We Are”, Koven’s second EP on Viper, further solidified the Koven sound winning the “Best EP Release” award at the 2015 Bass Music Awards.
Catching the attention of music lovers, Koven’s sounds spread to the ears of music supervisors across the globe. This resulted in many of their records being licensed for Hollywood blockbusters, TV commercials and games. The duo were then appointed to compose the music for a £2.7 million TV advertising campaign by Jaegermeister as part of its “Craft the Moment” marketing initiative.
Koven’s history with Monstercat has been extensive within the past few years. Forming a bond right at the conception of collaboration, Koven immediately found a home for their artistry. With their debut release “Silence” on Monstercat, Koven took fans by storm setting the momentum for the releases to come. Rounding off 2016, Koven went on to release the “Come To Light EP” featuring the tracks “Telling Me”, “Breathe Me In”, “Everything” and the previously release track “Silence”. This EP officially placed Koven on Monstercat’s fan radar. Koven went on to work with Muzzy and Feint on the Monstercat Uncaged Vol.3 album with their Uncaged super collab “Worth the Lie”.
Most recently Koven started off 2018 with their release “My Love” featured on the Rocket League vs. Monstercat Vol. 2. With more great music on the horizon, we are excited to see the new and innovative tracks Koven releases within the coming year!
