Multifaceted producer KDrew made his Monstercat debut today with a fiery remix of genre-bending producer KUURO’s 2019 track, “Can We Be Free.”
KDrew reworks the original instrumental drops by infusing punchy patterns and flashy trap elements, making for a surefire festival heater.
The new remix puts KDrew’s formidable stylings on full display, which have landed him official remixes for Lady Gaga, Nelly Furtado, and T.I., as well as the opportunity to co-write with Zedd on “I Want You To Know feat. Selena Gomez.” For over ten years, KDrew has been dominating the electronic music scene with his iconic records, adding today’s take on “Can We Be Free” to the mix.
KDrew shares, “The “Can We Be Free” remix is a really special track for me! For a while, Kuuro and I would share ideas, support, and feedback for each other’s tracks through Instagram. So, when he reached out about remixing this massive tune I was so pumped! Being a fan of his music, it was really easy getting inspired because I wanted to do something that would speak to his fans as well as mine. It’s not often you get to vibe with someone as talented as him so the whole process was a real joy.”
