Having already made a massive impact this year with crossover summer anthem “I Feel It”, not to mention remixing for Mabel and MK, UK house duo Leftwing: Kody are signing to Columbia Records for a deal that’s truly going to take them to the next level.

Needless to say, the duo themselves are over the moon:

“I feel truly blessed to have this opportunity to work with a label with such a rich history in our music culture,” says Jon Kong, AKA Leftwing of the news, which came off the back of the success of I Feel It. “Coming from the underground, it’s a huge compliment that the A&Rs are into our music and I’m excited to spread my wings as a producer spanning multiple genres and collaborating with other artists on the roster.” His production partner in crime Chris Adie AKA Kody is equally elated. “To fulfil an ambition I’ve had since I was young means the world to me,” he says. “I always dreamed of signing to a major label but never thought it would become a reality! To join Columbia and be a part of a roster of artists that I’ve admired for so long and to have the opportunity to work with so many talented people is both humbling and exciting.”

Joining an esteemed electronic roster that includes the likes of dance superstars Calvin Harris and Mark Ronson, they’ve already had tastemaker support from Dance Anthems, Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Danny Howard leading to breakthrough BBC Radio 1 playlisting. With more great music coming up as well as collaborations with the signing into next year, not to mention more notable remixes of I Feel It and a stellar video set to take the original to skyrocketing new heights. Still staying in touch with their dance roots and loyal underground following, Leftwing : Kody are sure to satisfy clubbers’ craving with more dance weapons as well as running their Lost label whilst expanding their growing audience beyond the dance-floor and into exciting crossover realms.

Following the I Feel It triumph and signing, Leftwing: Kody’s schedule is looking packed for the rest of the year with their Ibiza residency at Toolroom Live (which takes place on Sundays at Eden) as well as North American Toolroom shows in NYC, Los Angeles and Miami among others plus Catalina Island Festival in California. Their UK winter shows include Motion in Bristol and The Warehouse Project in Manchester with Marc ‘MK’ Kinchen’s Area 10 party.

Back to Chris, who’s excited for what the future holds: “I’m very proud of what Jon and myself have achieved over the years in music and right now this is the pinnacle of all the hard work and sacrifices we have made. I’m looking forward to working with the whole team at Columbia and excited about what we can accomplish together.”
