As one of the most talked-about rising artists in the bass scene last year, Australian producer Leotrix made his Monstercat debut today with the bouncy new dubstep single, “FUNNYFACE.”
His forward-thinking sound design and experimental production techniques have established him as one of the leading tastemakers in the next generation of electronic talent.
After bursting onto the scene in 2019, Leotrix quickly caught the attention of dubstep flagship imprints and found fans in everyone from Excision to Jauz. “FUNNYFACE” is a testament to Leotrix’s multi-genre appeal as the colourful synths and chords blend perfectly with the thumping drums and deep basses. Fans can expect to hear more ground-breaking music from Leotrix on Monstercat this year.
Leotrix shares, “‘FUNNYFACE’ is about how I’ve felt self-conscious about my face and my acne and letting that out into a song. Some people might think I’m a bit funny or don’t understand me or where I’m coming from, but I’ve come to accept that not everyone is going to understand what I do.”
