After debuting on Monstercat last year via his collaborative track “Purple” with AK, rising Australian producer Liam Thomas returned to the label today, unveiling his dreamy solo single, “Waterloo.”
Known for his cinematic productions, Liam effortlessly crafts a lush soundscape characterized by deep basses, atmospheric pads, and warm chords. Inspired by calm waters and feelings of serenity, “Waterloo” emanates the elements through its soft arpeggiators and organic percussive hits. The first of more solo records to come, “Waterloo” is a testament to Liam’s refined production stylings as “Waterloo” conjures feelings of relaxation within listeners.
Liam Thomas shares, “When creating “Waterloo,” the track title came to me almost second nature. The track felt like water droplets in a large body of water. For me, this perfectly represents calmness and serenity. Water has always been my pure form of peace, and I’ve always found most of my inspiration from it.”
