A skyrocketing multi-talent, Austin based producer and DJ LP Giobbi also takes pride in working as a music director, feminist, label owner and curator as well as being hailed as a “piano house queen”.
Breaking through on the house scene back in 2018, LP Giobbi combines her production talent with her background as a classically trained jazz pianist, resulting in uplifting dance weapons including last year’s Meet Again featuring UK’s finest Little Boots.
Released during the height of the pandemic, Meet Again earned the support of Pete Tong and Mistajam on BBC Radio 1 who declared the track as his Future Anthem and Today’s Dance Anthem. Equally as impressive, her more recent release Playing My Role landed playlisting on Capital Dance and Diplo’s Revolution. Also adapting to the shift to livestreams shows, LP continues to engage with her fans with regular streams on Twitch including a Saturday House Hymns set weekly on Insomniac TV and Piano Playground on Blond:ish’s Abracadabra Twitch channel.
Elsewhere, LP Giobbi is the founder of FEMME HOUSE which pushes for gender equality in the music industry, addressing the lack of representation in electronic music by empowering womxn, trans and non-binary people to develop and succeed in technical areas of music. The platform has now created future producers, mixers, and engineers by offering educational workshops, networking, mentorship, and more whilst LP has launched her FEMME HOUSE radio show on Diplo’s Revolution to showcase their talent in interviews and mixes from around the world.
