Acclaimed Dutch duo Lucas & Steve, after their successful summer and release of the hit-making I Could Be Wrong, are now out with an uplifting new single, Where Have You Gone (Anywhere).
The track is now out on Spinnin’ Records. Having seen amazing success since its release already, it has been picked up on popular playlists, including 21 New Music Friday’s on Spotify.
The upbeat track starts in a fashion that is uplifting right from the beginning- thanks to the soothing vocals and gently strumming guitar sounds. Quickly gaining momentum, we are led to a drop that is rich and thumping with melodies constantly playing in the background. Clearly bringing out the emotions that the lyrics exude, the production ends with a climax that’s vibrant.
The video, directed by Angelo White, shows how a lover tries to re-live or imagine the times he spent with his loved one, through a VR headset. Greatly complementing the production style, the video is a treat to watch.
Spinning this mix quite a bit during the summer, the duo ensured it gained a lot of momentum and support. Besides producing a series of highly acclaimed festival favorites, they are just coming off a massive summer tour, including gigs at the biggest festivals around the world. This included Tomorrowland, Creamfields (China), Sensation (Jakarta), a full-blown China tour and loads more shows.
Formed in 2010, the duo joined Spinnin’ Records in 2014 and released man tracks on Spinnin’ Deep. They have also done their remix duties for the likes of Felix Jaehn, Lost Frequencies, Showtek, and Laurent Wolf. Summer On You with Sam Feldt and Feel Alive with Pep & Rash are other notable releases. They also debuted on the Billboard chart for their song Calling On You featuring Jake Reese.
The duo is preparing for the Amsterdam Dance Event, where they’ll be hosting their own two parties. First, the sold-out Skyline Sessions event in Q-Factory on Friday 19 October, followed on Saturday 20 October by Skyline Sessions ‘Under 18′ at the 538 Hotel. Besides this, they guys will also be presenting a Studio Session, explaining about how they produce their music and performing at Spinnin’ Sessions, Firebeatz & Friends and Throttle Presents Dirty Disco.
