Set for its global unveiling almost exactly a year after its predecessor, ‘The Valentine Effect’ is out now and it’s set to take the world by storm, leaving people with the feeling that life may not be exactly as it seems.
What exactly is ‘The Valentine Effect’? Croft describes her newest work as “a psychological experience that listeners can interpret in their own way.” Some call it permanent madness, others may recognize it as the glorious chaos that is life itself. Are we alive? Is anything real?
‘The Valentine Effect’ welcomes you in and encourages you to embrace the unknown and challenge your very way of thinking. To live without fear and immerse yourself in the delicate dance between life.. and death. “I wanted this EP to really get you thinking – about life and death, and everything in-between,” she shares. Always looking to expand her capabilities as an artist, Croft’s newest undertaking takes listener’s on a wild, unpredictable ride, evoking the full spectrum of emotions humanly possible: anger, fear, sadness, disgust, surprise, anticipation, trust, and elation.

Producer, songwriter, vocalist, DJ, creative director – just a few of the faces worn by independent electronic artist Lucille Croft. Hailing from Australia, her music is unapologetic as she is – drawing inspiration from the likes of The Prodigy, Grimes, Nine Inch Nails, and Bjork.
Having toured Australia & Asia, Lucille added the United States to the list, hitting the festival circuit with a force. Debuting at heavy hitter festivals such as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, HARD Summer, Forecastle & more. Heading back to Australia at the top of 2023 for her headline tour, Lucille will be quickly circling back to the US in March performing at Beyond Wonderland and Ultra Music Festival before she hits the road touring for the rest of year.
In 2022 Lucille released her debut EP Patient X – an industrial electronic body of work with a concept and character to accompany the music. “Patient X” was a character created by Lucille to express her experiences as a woman in the music industry- how to dress, what to make, how to act, what to play, and an outlet to fight back. The EP was a great success – amassing over 5 million streams in less than a year, as well as interviews in the likes of METAL Magazine, Magnetic Mag, C-Heads, EDM.com, MTV as well as landing the cover (plus an 8-page spread) on OFF THE RAILS Magazine.
A fervent combination of music, role-play and fashion – expect Lucille to continue to evolve.
