The Danish hit-maker has teamed up with American singer-actress Olivia Holt on his catchy new single, ’16 Steps’.
The track was released by Astrawerks. Martin, has over 850 million streams on his previous 5 tracks and that says a lot about his music! ’16 Steps’ is just going to get that number much bigger.
The track is an infectious pop number, flavoured with some amazing keyboard hooks and is adorned by beautiful vocals. the song captures the battle between the body and the brain in matters of the heart. It was written by After Hrs (Maroon 5, One Direction), Ali Tamposi (Kygo, Justin Bieber, Camilla Cabello), John Ryan (Harry Styles, Jason Derulo) and Liza Owen (Hailee Steinfeld, Astrid S).
Martin, who hit fame with his famous single ‘Solo Dance’, has earned many certifications and an 8x Platinum in Sweden for the same. It even topped Official Dance Singles Top 40 chart and was one of the biggest hits of 2017. With an unbelievable 122 million streams and counting on Spotify, “Solo Dance” is quickly converting new listeners to fans.
His breakthrough viral track “Sí” featured a sample of famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. And his follow up single, “All I Wanna Do”, cemented his position as one of the world’s leading hit makers.
‘Wait’ has received 60 million plays on Spotify, which is incredible. Martin’s talent has deservedly gotten him spots in the DJ Magazine’s Top DJs list, the first Danish artist since Trentemøller in 2007. Olivia Holt, has made her mark in the movies. The 20-year-old American talent released a self titled debut EP in 2016, which contained hits like ‘Phoenix’ and ‘History’. The highlight being, her latest track ‘Generous’, topped Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart earlier in the year. She also stars in Marvel’s ‘Cloak& Dagger’.
