MASTERIA executes a much-needed pep talk via his follow-up single on IN / ROTATION with “Everything,” a confidence-building bass house creation.

As the thought of a life post-quarantine becomes more tangible with each passing second, the light at the end of the tunnel is coming closer into clear view. Yet the existential dread is still hard to shake off for most of the population, which is why the Detroit-based house producer wanted to give people a push in the right direction. In comes his new number “Everything,” conceived when the pandemic was first starting to sink in, at a time when the entire music industry was hit with a crippling blow from the moratorium placed on large gatherings. MASTERIA wanted to restore some faith in the party-going crowd by dishing out a reminder that the good times will make a comeback in due time.

“‘Everything’ is a track about hope and having a belief that no matter what you might be going through, everything really will be okay in the end,” says MASTERIA. “This pandemic especially created a sense of dread and hopelessness in a community that thrives on positivity and energy, so I wanted to write a high-energy track with vocals that reflected the need to have hope that our industry and love for live performances will return one day soon.”

There’s a rush of optimism that washes over the listener throughout the three-minute number, made possible by its spoken word installments delivered with gospel-like conviction. The message is reinforced through a slinky rhythm built around rolling drums, siren samples, gargling flourishes, wonky one-shots, and a playful arrangement meant to temporarily take your mind off of the lingering misfortunes at hand. It should do the trick, at least until this one’s ready to get rinsed out in the flesh.

Just a few short months ago, MASTERIA moved in with his first solo single on IN / ROTATION on a UK-leaning stomper “New Sound,” featuring a flurry of buff bars from the menacing master-of-ceremonies, JC Stormz. The release built upon previous appearances of his on both editions of the ‘mau5trap x Insomniac Records’ compilations, as well as serving up the lead cut on ‘Rotate Vol. 3’ with “My Mind” alongside Cazztek. His tracks have nabbed numerous Top 5 iTunes chart spots around the globe, in addition to getting DJ support from heavy-hitters David Guetta, Afrojack, Nicky Romero, Tiësto and the list continues to swell.

As the world continues to heal day-by-day, MASTERIA’s new single “Everything” should help house heads ride a wave of hope the world needs to hear right now.
