US dance music legend Morgan Page joins forces with Polish upstarts Melo.Kids to create the explosive club tune ‘You’, out yesterday on Armada Music.
Unleashing an unbridled big room attitude alongside the kind of tightly controlled melodic runs Page is globally revered for, the trio craft undulating peaks and troughs of energy, using the looped, heavily FX’d vocal to tie the whole production together. Sections of driving synths, syncopated cow bells and thundering percussion flow in and out euphoric, hands-in-the-air-style piano passages that channel a sumptuous old school vibe.
Talking about the new single from his home studio in LA, where he has been entertaining tens of thousands with his live stream ‘Quarantine Sessions’ (complete with nightly wine recommendations), Page said: “I’m really excited for everyone to hear ‘You’, my new club banger with the masked Polish duo Melo.Kids. I’ve been hammering their music on the road so it was great to team up for a collab. ‘You’ has a dark funky vibe that can fit into pretty much any DJ set.”
GRAMMY-nominated Morgan Page needs no introduction, having spearheaded the huge wave of EDM that washed across the United States over ten years ago starting with his seminal track ‘The Longest Road’. Melo.Kids, signed to Armada Music alongside Page, have been making a name for themselves in their native Poland and beyond, garnering support from heavyweights including Tiesto, Hardwell, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero and Fedde Le Grand.
