Making their label debut earlier this year on ‘Reflections 01’ with ‘Winter’s Song’, six-piece British band Northling return to the Reflections family for their first solo release with new single ‘Damselfly’; the lead track from their upcoming EP ‘Tycho’, due 5 September 2022.
Starting as an improvisational band in 2017, Northling quickly developed their distinctive sound, drawing on their wide range of musical influences, from electronica to nu-jazz; earning them recognition from the likes of BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, and BBC Introducing.
Layering delicate vocals alongside intricate piano melodies and soaring dynamics, Northling shows off their impressive live instrumentation and flair for emotive songwriting on the new single ‘Damselfly.’
‘Damselfly’ is out now and ‘Tycho EP’ is due September 5, 2022, on Reflections.
