With a single, an EP and a remix on the hugely influential Black Butter label under his belt this year, it’s looking as though OIJ, the Amsterdam based producer OIJ is heading toward the end of the year with one last flourish.
A new three-track EP is rumoured to be in the works for release, and OIJ drops the first single from it, “Elation.” Showing the production skills that has seen him release on labels such as Ultra Music and Black Butter Records, “Elation” has an old school, dance music feel to it, with some classic pop twists and a perfectly accompanying vocal to go with it.
It will certainly be interesting to see what the rest of the EP will have in store, but we’ll have to wait to find out.
